We bumped 3 grand off the purchase price of the house after doing an inspection. That covered all the closing costs, so I'm satisfied there.
Interest Rate
Not really sure how mine compared to others. My lender told me he matched the best rate he could find on the market and it wasn't a set rate by his bank.
Loan Officer Service
No complaints here. I haven't really had to contact them for anything. I'm paying my bills on time and everything is good, so I don't know much about my loan officer.

Pros
He was a friend with the realtor, which is a friend of my family's. So I trusted that he wouldn't try to screw me over. He was a nice guy, he gave me a $100 home depot gift card after closing. He was quick to answer any of my questions and gave me good advice for my first home purchase.
Cons
He had a pretty annoying voice. Very high and squeaky. He's still sending me spam-like emails also that I'm tired of seeing. But just from a business perspective, I don't have much negative to say.
