Closing Fee
I don't remember all the fees but I also don't remember it being excessive. I'm a cheapskate so I would have noticed and objected to anything that was more than a couple thousand dollars.
Interest Rate
We bought a house about 2 years ago and our interest rate is 4.375%. I think that was pretty competitive for a fixed rate 30-year mortgage at the time so we went with it.
Loan Officer Service
Our loan officer was fine. She did what the other mortgage loan officers have done with past home purchases. She explains everything clearly but keeps things moving so we could get through the tedious paperwork without it dragging on forever.
Overall Rating
Pros
We were able to apply for the loan and get a competitive rate without much paperwork and hassle. The process from lender moved quickly which was good because we needed to move to our new place before the kids started school.
Cons
I don't remember disliking anything about the lender. If they respond to our application quickly and give us a good rate, that's mainly what we need. The lender provided that so we were good.

I think at the time it was comparable with other lenders, but I wish I had shopped around more.

Pros
I like that it is a major bank and that it was easily accessible online.
Cons
Just hard to talk to a real person sometimes, and the loan officer I was working with wasn't the best at returning my calls.

I think the closing costs and fees are about the same as other lenders. I wish they weren't so much, but it seems as though that is standard.
Interest Rate
We have a good interest rate, but it is on a sliding arm. I am hoping that it doesn't increase too much in the next year or two.

Our loan officer didn't communicate very well. I had to contact him several times.

Pros
I like that the Lender did a lot of the process online and we didn't have to wait to mail things back and forth.
Cons
I wish the communication was better. I had to contact them several times about things that came up when they should have noticed and contacted me.

Although I paid more than originally expected, closing costs were still lowest out of all the Lenders I shopped with. The reason I paid more was due to issues with the city, not the lender them self.
Interest Rate
The interest rate was very competitive. I was able to choose from different lenders to get the best rate.
Loan Officer Service
The loan officer talked me through applying for the mortgage on my first. She was just as determined as I was to make sure I did everything possible for approval.
Overall Rating
Pros
Although this was a stressful experience for me, it would have been much worse without my lender's help. I am grateful to them for walking me through buying my first home.
Cons
I don't have any complaints or dislikes about the lender. I would not be a homeowner without their help.
