In comparison, a typical home in the state of Illinois costs $190,800,  the median home insurance value is $1,030, and residents can save $720 between the 25th and 75th percentile of insurance premiums.

Arlington Heights lies 25 miles northwest of downtown Chicago. Gavop’s analysis covers insurance premiums of homes typically ranging between $148,600 and $429,900. It lists typical home values, median insurance rates, and savings between the 25th and 75th percentile of home insurance premiums for select locations within a 50-mile radius of Arlington Heights. Lyons shows the highest potential savings of $1,060 for a typical home value of $288,300 and a median home insurance cost of $1,410. Ela has the second highest savings of $970, a typical home value of $429,900, and a median home insurance of $1,330. Ranking third is Itasca with a savings of $850, a typical home value of $314,800, and a median home insurance cost of $1,200. McHenry County shows the next highest savings in insurance premiums at a value of $750. The typical home value and median insurance premium here are $233,400 and 1,000 respectively. Twin Lakes in nearby Wisconsin is fifth on the list, offering a potential savings of $710. The typical home value in Wisconsin is $187,400, and the median premium is $1,010.
