Generally, the company's mobile-based technology is pretty limited. The app itself feels very neglected, old, and generally outdated. I wouldn't trust it to actually handle anything related to a claim (i.e., filing, recording, dealing with responses). We haven't checked out home insurance for since the mid 1980's when our original insurance company decided to get out of home insurance. Since then, we've had no reason to look at other home insurance.

I know from experience our roof and siding is covered. Damage to the home structure, floors, and carpet is all covered from storms, hail and water damage. They've been good about helping us and covering our home.

Communication
Unless we need the company, the only communication we have is when the policy is updated or changed, there is a problem and when we get out yearly premium bill. I like it this way. We also like that communication by snail mail.

Customer service is great. I reach friendly people who truly wish to assist in whatever our needs may be. They will explain what needs explaining and quickly put us in touch of an adjuster when one is required.

I contacted customer service when my renewal policy indicated a large increase in annual premium. Though I wasn't able to get a lower rate, the representative was able to justify reasoning for the rate increase and explained it was due to the area which is prone to hurricanes, and I was not the only customer impacted by the increase.
