Have coverage for inside only as we live in a condo and the outside building is covered by HOA insurance. BAllied Insurancecally anything inside is the home owners responsibility and anything outside is the HOA. The plumbing in the walls can be a grey area like if there is water damage. BAllied Insurancecally if a pipe leaks it is on the HOA but if it is home owner negligence then it is on them.

Plus, they are trying to replace standard deductibles with "percentage" deductibles (i.e. instead of a $1,000 deductible per incident I would be forced to pay 10% of the loss as a deductible - that is a huge increase in deductible!)

Everyone is certainly friendly enough, it's just that when I've needed something to happen quickly it can be a bit longer than I would've preferred. Another problem I've got with communication is the sheer amount of paperwork involved, but I'm not sure that would be different anywhere else. It seems excessive and unnecessarily complicated.

As it was bundled in, I'm not precisely sure about the premium cost and it's something I've been meaning to revisit. I know at the time we bought the house, it was a decent price (in the bundle) for decent coverage. I can't much compare at this point because I haven't looked at it in a while.
