The home itself is completely covered. If destroyed the home will be rebuilt. Also, the furnishings inside the home are covered. Then the policy covers buildings on the property as well as additional coverage in case the central heat and air unit breaks down.

The problem that I have had in the past in dealing with the customer service department is that they are unable to help me with my policy. They tell me that I must get in touch with my local agent in order to find out details of my policy or to make any changes. The only thing that they can help me with is payments and giving me the agent's phone number.

I think that my premium is excessively high compared to other insurance companies. I have spoken to friends and family members who tell me that they have a much lower premium than I do. One woman just bought a brand new home and her premium is a fraction of what I pay for my older home and both of our homes are the same size.

I like that it seems very clean and professional. I do not like that it is hard to find items that you are looking for. There are no filters for making a payment so you have to put it a complete URL with payment option on it in your search bar to access that payment screen. I also do not like that that payment screen lacks some information on it such as options for paying late.

I like that the customer service is friendly and polite. They are also professional. I do not like that they do not have a twenty four hour call center for customer service. I also do not like that the customer service agents can not access my policy. They tell me to call my agent for that.

I believe the premium is a little high. The insurance company has had to pay out a great deal of policies over the past couple of years due to weather related damages so they have raised the rates on the premiums to adjust for this.

They have very good communication about the company as a whole. They send out magazines and letters updating customers about how the company is doing and what is happening with it. The bad side is that they lack communication on your policy. My rate is increased every year with a note simply stating that I have been underinsured. They give no other explanations or options. They also do not inform of rate increases in a timely manner.
