The biggest problem with my insurance company's customer service is the lack of communication both within and with the company. The staff of the company don't seem to share information well amongst themselves, so the insured (me) has to repeat many of the same conversations over and over again.

When we bought the house it was right after a big hurricane, and it was hard to even get homeowner's insurance . St Johns was really the only company in this area that was writing policies, so we didn't have much choice.

It is very hard to get someone on the phone to answer your questions, then once they have your email address, they will only communicate with you via email, and some of the emails are robot-generated, they are not even written by real people.

I am not sure why, but St. John's does not offer a website or mobile app. In order to make a claim, you have to call a 1-800 number, and they take a message and later will email you.

We are sort of stuck with what we have because it is sometimes hard to find homeowner's insurance in Florida, due to the hurricanes. When we first bought the home, St John's was part of the package deal, and when we went to close the deal, we just signed up for and signed off for their coverage, and we were told no other company would write us a policy. Turns out this is not 100% true, other companies would insure the house but for a much higher premium. So we have stuck with St Johns
