Closing Fee
Our costs seemed to be average compared to what others were paying at the time.
Interest Rate
Our original mortgage was ok. Around 5 or so percent interest on a 30-year loan. After 10 years, we refinanced with Churchill Mortgage to a 15 year fixed. Our interest rate dropped to three and a quarter and cut 5 years off our loan. Our monthly payment stayed about the same. I am much happier without the current mortgage.
Loan Officer Service
Our loan officer was below average. He tried to talk us into a bigger mortgage that we would not have been able to afford.
Overall Rating
Pros
It was pretty a relatively straightforward process.
Cons
How pushy the loan officer was trying to get us into a bigger mortgage.

Closing Fee
I was very unhappy with the fees and closing costs. We were told an exact amount we'd need to finish everything and we had it set aside. 1 week before closing they came up with "unexpected expenses" and we had to come up with an extra almost $4,000.
Interest Rate
Since we did an FHA loan, our interest rate has been really reasonable. Probably the best we could have gotten given our situation at the time.
Loan Officer Service
He was a nice guy, very friendly, but not always on the ball and frequently made mistakes that caused a lot more stress for all of us.
Overall Rating
Pros
I like that they approved us for the loan and worked with us, especially due to the nature of my husband's job at the time.
Cons
I don't like their customer service or their fees they keep tacking on, and I really don't like their website.
