The closing costs were substantially higher than originall expected. However, the costs were used to pay down existing debt to make the loan happen.
Interest Rate
I initially expected the interest rate to be lower than what I ultimately qualified for. As we proceeded through the application process, additional review of my financial record necessitated an increase in my expected APR.
Loan Officer Service
My loan officer was diligent in working through all of my problems, so that we were finally able to close about two months after our initial contact. I would use this loan officer again.

The lender was willing to work with me, despite some surprises, to make the loan happen. I've worked with other banks where this did not occur.
Cons
We came into some unexpected fees. I believe that these errors were not intentional, but instead were the results of miscommunication.
