THE CLOSING COSTS WERE WITHIN THE NORMAL RANGE. NO SURPRISES. THEY WERE VERY FAIR AND MADE IT EASY TO UNDERSTAND.

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME WE HAVE DEALT WITH THIS BANK. WE BOUGHT THIS TOWNHOUSE OUT OF STATE AS A SECOND HOME. THIS BANK MADE ALL THE PAPERWORK EASY AND THE RATE WAS SO GOOD. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

HE WAS SO GREAT. ACTUALLY WENT OUT OF HIS WAY TO HELP US WITH SIGNING PAPERS, AS WE WERE OUT OF STATE.

Closing Fee
I am satisfied with the closing fee because it was at a competitive rate and I did not feel like I was being gouged or taken advantage off.
Interest Rate
I am satisfied with my loan because overall, I feel that I was able to secure a decent interest rate compared to the market and compared to what some of my acquaintances have secured when purchasing their home.
Loan Officer Service
I have known and worked with my loan officer for a few years and he is a great guy, he has helped me refinance the property and purchase a new property in the past and he is very good at his job.

Pros
I am not terribly familiar with Flagstar Bank as I don't bank with them they only hold my mortgage loan, but overall I would say that they are a decent institution and very similar to other banks. I also like that they will not sell my loan to any other banks and my mortgage loan will remain with them for the life of the term.

The closing cost was paid by our lender, but we just needed to place a down payment on the house.

Right now we have a 4% interest rate, which is better than the current market as we speak.
Loan Officer Service
The loan officer didn't really keep us in the loop too much as our loan was processing. We had to call them multiple times.
Overall Rating
Pros
Flagstar banks online service is exceptional. We can find quick phone numbers to call for any information I need to know.
Cons
I don't think I've found any true dislikes with our current mortgage loan provider. The only thing I can think of is that we don't get statements consistently.

The closing costs were rolled into my mortgage so I don't recall exactly what they were but I know they were on par with other lenders.
Interest Rate
I didn't compare interest rates but I was refinancing from a higher to a lower rate so it was fully acceptable to me.

Everything was completed fairly quickly and the process was easy to understand and things were clearly explained.
