I don't remember exactly what our closing costs were, but as it was our first time buying a home, I had nothing to compare all of it too. I just assumed it was all standard.
Interest Rate
Our interest rate is 4%, which I feel okay with. I know others can be high, although I have never done a thorough comparison. Our monthly payment only increases if our property taxes increase, which seems to happen almost every year.
Loan Officer Service
Our loan officer is very friendly and efficient. She was recommended to us by our realtor. As it was our first time buying a home, we went with it. Our loan officer explained everything to us and was very efficient at helping us.
Overall Rating
Pros
Our lending institution and officer are both efficient and helpful. We were novice buyers, but never once felt like we were being taken advantage of. We got through the whole process without frustration.
Cons
There really wasn't anything I didn't like. Like I said, we got through the process with no frustration and we continue to be provided with great service. We know we are being taken care of.
