It was slightly higher, but any lower priced insurance companies required "bundling" with a car insurance, which was substantially higher than my current car insurance. This means that although the home insurance premiums were slightly higher, i ended up paying less per month for home and auto insurance through them

My homeowners policy covers loss of structure up to 125% of the assessed/appraised value of the house. It also covers replacement of any outbuildings due to fire or wind damage. It covers water damage due to a leaky roof or burst plumbing pipes, but not flood damage. It covers living expenses if the house is unlivable or completely destroyed. Also covered are collections of sports cards and comic books, as well as musical instruments.

The premium with Safeco is more affordable than my previous insurance company which was State Auto. I really had little issue with the company but their premium just became too high. I live in an area that has unfortunately had an uptick in various types of crime, so in all honesty, I cannot fault an insurance company for having a higher premium. My premium with Safeco did raise this year and I have had zero claims. I wish I could give a 3.5 but figured you all would like an even number rating.
