They are independently owned and operated so we have the option of dealing with someone local instead of having to "be another voice on the end of the phone". State Farm doesn't send out my car insurance cards in a timely manner and I often have to call in and request new ones after my old ones expire. It's irritating and they aren't getting any better at sending me updated cards. They call me into the office about once/year as well and use it as a time to sell me additional coverage that I don't need.

Each action I take tends to open up a new tab, where I need to go back and and look at the previous tabs to find the policy number and the amount due in order to make a payment on the new tab. The premium is slightly higher than other brands, maybe 10% higher, but I've made a couple theft claims and the claim adjuster was helpful and I was paid within a week of submitting receipts, I was paid replacement costs, over $9000 dollars.

I liked the interaction. The claim adjuster is not hurried, they are kind and wait on the line while you recollect, cry, get emotional and ask pertinent questions , so you can explain in a thorough way. They collect all the information in a kind manner.

Pemco customer service is exceptional. You reach a person right away, they soft transfer you to the appropriate person to handle the claim. There is no bouncing around and the call being dropped.

We only have communication when they send yearly information of what our insurance covers and every other year that we haven't mailed our payment yet. Then we call them because it just hadn't been mailed by mortgage company yet. But we rarely talk to them. Well two times when we had damage to our trailer I think we had to talk to them too then. They processed us well.
