I regularly get newsletters and pamphlets on email and in the mail from Allstate. They are really pushing for paperless but I still prefer they send me my documents through the mail instead of printing it out. It can be a bit annoying when they nag you to switch to paperless so I took off a point. Other than that I have no other complaints with their communication. When I call or email they always check back within a reasonable amount of time.

In the last few years, I have had to complain to get my premium adjusted downwards. The basis for the higher premium was an overinflated valuation of my property based on misinformation in the company file. This was info that had been changed to reflect a higher value than actually existed, and it was wrong. I believe it was intentional to bleed more money from me. I believe competing insurance companies offer a lower premium amount, and if my policy increases again this year for no evident reason, I will just change companies rather than complain again.

I did some shopping before committing to Alpha Alliance and they ended up being about 8% less expensive than others such as State Farm and Liberty Mutual and I have more coverage with Alpha Alliance than the others were offered for more money. I have a rider that is similar to a home warranty plan which covers appliances and a percentage of repair costs on HVAC and plumbing that did not cost me any extra premium.
